In a moral economy, all people have equitable access to financial resources. Darrick Hamilton, the Henry Cohen Professor of Economics and Urban Policy at the Schools for Public Engagement,
is conducting research and leading change on financial equity—from
testifying before Congress to appearing on national television—through
his work as a University Professor and director of the Institute on Race, Power and Political Economy.
Hamilton’s
work aligns with the mission of the Schools of Public Engagement, which
promotes close collaboration between faculty and students and
engagement with local communities in its efforts to create a more just
and equitable world.
